Our shampoos and styling products create buildup on our hair and make it dull. Over time if we don’t clarify our hair will get weighted down as well. Instead of spending money on a clarifying shampoo, try using this clarifying hair rinse with apple cider vinegar instead. It will make your hair soft and shiny without any chemicals! Also, this rinse is safe on color treated hair 🙂
Apple cider vinegar is good for your hair because it will work to remove styling product buildup and it will seal the hair cuticle, minimizing frizz and producing soft, shiny hair.Apple Cider hair rinse: Mix 1-4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and 1 cup (8 oz.) of water. The reason I say 1-4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar is because you’ll need to find out what amount works best for your hair. I find 2 tablespoons works best for me and gives my hair the most shine and softness.
Directions: Shampoo and rinse your hair as normal. Then pour the apple cider vinegar rinse over your hair. Let it sit for a few minutes and gently rinse with cool water. There’s no need to condition your hair as the rinse and cool water will seal the hair cuticle, making your hair soft and manageable. When you get out of the shower do not towel dry your hair! Your hair is at it’s weakest when wet so handle it with care. If you towel dry your hair the rough fibers will roughen the hair cuticle, resulting in damaged hair. Instead pat dry your hair with a cotton cloth or t-shirt and comb though using your fingers or a wet brush.
